What Is The Meaning Of Life?

SUGGESTION BOX A: Suggestions that, if followed, would help people more than they realize

  • Higher punctuation sensitivity in Google searches
  • Resealable packaging for everything
  • Voicemails always having a point
  • Solution to procrastination 1: Two words: High Voltage
  • Solution to procrastination 2: Two other words: Wearing Shoes
  • Water fountains in homes
  • Publicly available vacuum cleaners in residential buildings
  • Silent sections on planes
  • Three faucets for three temperatures in sinks: Hot, cold, and the one we all actually want

SUGGESTION BOX B: Things I suggest for no one's benefit but my own

  • Inflatable candy
  • Microsoft word recognizing "hegemony" as a word
  • Minimizing the omission of the word "are" before text message inquiries about the status of the receiver
  • Coffee makers built into walls rather than on counters

SUGGESTION BOX C: Things that already exist and I applaud and suggest we all have or do more of

  • Good old fashioned paper matches
  • Post-it notes
  • NYC tap water -- trite but true
  • The Text Message
  • Hallways with light switches at both ends

SUGGESTION BOX D: Things that would make us all better off if we got rid of or stopped doing

  • Radio and television advertisements featuring narrators who sound like they will burst into laughter at any moment.
  • Sandwiches with the word "melt" in their name
  • Laughing just because other people around us are laughing
  • Handing out business cards. I don't have an alternative, I just think they are lame.
  • Selling arrowheads at gift shops. The verdict is currently still out on sharks' teeth.
